Ding Ding
In development with funding from Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Ding Ding is an innovative large scale performance project which uses original documentary film and live music to deliver a meditation on human conflict. Set against the backdrop of divided communities in Belfast, the work draws on the actual and metaphorical presence of the boxing ring to explore a theatre of extremes; passion; discipline; cruelty and power; survival; the magnetic relationship between fighters and crowd; physical stamina and emotional strength; the elevation of the spirit; and the limits of human endurance.
